Supplement cost per serving

The price on the bottle doesn't tell you what one serving costs, or what you pay for each milligram, gram, or capsule. Put in the price, the servings or the container size, and the dose on the label, and you can line up to three products.

Change 100 mg if you would rather compare per gram, per capsule, or something else. Weight units convert. IU, ml, capsules, tablets and scoops do not.

Enter a price above zero, then the servings or a container size.

What it divides

Cost per serving is the price divided by the number of servings. If you enter a container size instead, servings are that amount divided by the dose per serving, once both use the same kind of unit.

The second number is the price divided by everything in the container, scaled to the amount you set (100 mg, 1 g, 1 capsule, and so on). A gram is 1,000 mg, and a milligram is 1,000 mcg. An IU is not a weight, and a capsule is not a milligram, so those are not converted.

Shipping, tax and coupons count only if the price you type already includes them. This does not say which product to buy or how much to take.

Magnesium, already worked out for 30 products

This page only divides the numbers you type. The Magnesium Decoder is a $7 guide that ran the same kind of math on 30 magnesium products, by cost per 100 mg, and the spreadsheet is there for bottles of your own. See what is in the guide. We sell it.
