Harvia and HUUM heaters at Select Saunas

On Select Saunas, the heater pages to start with are the HUUM DROP packages, the Harvia KIP heaters with built-in controls, and the HUUM HIVE 12. On 1 Nov 2026, 19:09 CET the DROP packages were $2,716 to $3,133, the KIP models with built-in controls were $1,155 to $1,258, and the HIVE 12 package was $5,963. The DROP and HIVE package texts each contain an includes line and a “sold separately” line for the control and the stones. Both lines are quoted below. This page does not pick one of them. Electrical service numbers are not copied.

HUUM DROP packages

Each price is the only variant on that product, read 1 Nov 2026, 19:09 CET. Only Select’s selling price is shown.

The DROP 9 page has an Includes list and a Features list that do not say the same thing. Includes names a UKU section, with “Black Control console” as the first item, and a stones section, “132 lbs of 2" - 4" (5-10 cm) round Olivine sauna stones”. Features says “Works with UKU controls (sold separately)” and “122 pound stone capacity (required 4 boxes sold separately)”. The UKU features list also says “Optional Built-in Wi-Fi interface for HUUM mobile app (additional charges apply)”. The 6 kW and 4.5 kW openings say to choose “the advanced UKU Local digital sauna control or the convenient UKU Wi-Fi control package”. Their features lists still say the controls and the stone boxes are sold separately. The 7.5 kW opening says the package comes “along with the versatile UKU control (WiFi optional) and sauna stones”, and its features list says the controls and the stone boxes are sold separately.

Harvia KIP with built-in controls

These are the KIP B heaters. The package contents include the words “2-year warranty”. Stones are a separate line: “50 lb stone capacity (requires 1 box sold separately)”.

The KIP80B is the heater name on Select’s Huntington page. That barrel page is the large-barrel comparison.

HUUM HIVE 12

The package and the heater-only page do not use the same stone figure. The package features list says “Large 552-pound stone capacity (sold separately, Requires 17 boxes)”. The heater-only page says “up to 550 lb / 250 kg of stones” and “Stones aren't included”. Room lines also differ by a few cubic feet: the package opening says “Engineered for spaces up to 880 cubic feet (CF)” and the features list says “For sauna rooms from 424 to 883 cu. ft.” The heater-only page says “large sauna rooms from 424 to 883 cubic feet”.

UKU controls sold as their own products

These are separate Select product pages, read 1 Nov 2026, 19:11 CET. They are not a heater package. This page does not say whether any heater listing is a Wi-Fi bundle.

Returns, quoted

Select’s refund policy, read 1 Nov 2026, 19:11 CET, puts Harvia and HUUM under one heading: “Auroom, Harvia, HUUM, SaunaLife, Kohler, Haljas, Finnmark Designs, KOLO:” The line under that heading is: “Return for any reason, within 30 days of receipt.” The 20% restocking sentence on that policy is under other brand headings, not under this one. Reports to read before you order

• HUUM UKU app and Wi-Fi. Owners in a Reddit thread reported a stretch, 26 Jan 2026 to 1 Feb 2026, when app and API control stopped and the heaters still worked locally (Reddit). One owner on Reddit called the app “Buggiest app I have ever experienced” (Reddit, 14 Apr 2025). After a June 2026 update, an owner on Reddit reported that remote start asked for a new “Remote start safety” confirmation (Reddit, 15 Jun 2026). HUUM’s UKU support page, read 1 Nov 2026, says: “Please make sure you are connecting to the 2,4 GHz network, not the 5 GHz network; if both the 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz networks have the same name, rename one of them and then connect to the 2,4 GHz network.” HUUM UKU support
• HUUM DROP stones. An owner on Reddit reported that the stones supplied with a DROP were mostly too big to fit between the elements, and that they broke stones to fit them (Reddit, December 2025).
• Harvia KIP 8 kW elements. An owner on Reddit reported an element corroded at about 5 months (Reddit, 21 Oct 2023), another reported a second failure within 2 months (Reddit, 29 Aug 2023), and a third reported an element dead at 8 months (Reddit, 4 Dec 2024). On Almost Heaven saunas, the warranty page says: “Your Harvia heater comes with a 1-year warranty on the heating elements (coils) and a 5-year warranty on the other heating components.” It also says the heater warranty does not cover “corrosion that results from being near saltwater or using water hard water for löyly” and “The warranty does not cover electrician costs incurred from any warranty claims.” Almost Heaven warranty, read 1 Nov 2026. Select’s own KIP pages say “2-year warranty”, which is a different sentence from Almost Heaven’s element line.
• Other Harvia lines. This page did not check complaint threads for Spirit, Virta, Cilindro or Legend.

How we compared

Prices are first-variant prices from selectsaunas.com product data. The DROP, KIP and HIVE prices were read 1 Nov 2026, 19:09 CET. The two UKU control prices were read 1 Nov 2026, 19:11 CET. Room, stone and warranty lines are quoted from those product pages. Electrical service numbers are not copied. Bare DROP heaters, and their room sizes, are not listed. Spirit’s warranty line and the SP60E room size were not on this read. A price for a HUUM app remote-control unlock was not on these pages, so none is printed. Only Select’s selling prices are shown; struck-through prices are left off. We did not install a heater. Large barrels · Almost Heaven heater sizing · How we make money.
