Which one fits
- You have a stock tank, barrel or tub: the 1HP. Plunge Chill says a 1 HP unit is the usual pick for 90 to 150 gallons and rates it at about 5°F per hour.
- Warm climate or outdoors in summer: the 1HP again. The 1/3 HP units are rated 75°F to 50°F in 8 to 10 hours for 66 gallons.
- Small space, first plunge: the $569 bundle. The tub folds and weighs 9 lb empty.
- You like building your own: the Penguin 1/2 HP is a general-purpose chiller, so budget extra for a pump, hoses and a filter.
