Cheap cold plunge setups: three budgets compared
A top-end plunge like the Plunge All-In costs $7,990 (sale price). Most of that money buys one thing: a built-in chiller that keeps the water cold without ice. Here's what you get at lower budgets.
| Setup | Example | Price | How the water gets cold | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Inflatable tub | Lifepro NordPod (102 gal) | $99.99 to be verified | You add ice | Buying ice adds up; no filter; durability unknown |
| 2. Insulated barrel | Ice Barrel 500 (94 gal) | $1,749.99 | You add ice; chiller ports for a later upgrade | Upright seated position; still ice-based |
| 3. Barrel + chiller | Ice Barrel 500 + Ice Barrel Chiller | $5,749.98 | Chiller | Separate units; 28% cheaper than the Plunge All-In |
| Premium | Plunge All-In Gen 2 (~105 gal) | $7,990 | Built-in chiller, ozone sanitation | Price |
