Plunge vs Ice Barrel
Most people who are tired of buying ice should get a Plunge, and the All-In if they want the chiller built into the tub. Get an Ice Barrel only if you are fine adding ice yourself: the Ice Barrel 300 is $1,149.99 plus $300 shipping to the contiguous US, as of Oct 25, 2026, against $7,990 for the Plunge All-In on plunge.com the same day. An ice barrel vs a Plunge is that split. One is a barrel you fill with ice. The other holds its own temperature.
Plunge's All-In page says "Plug and plunge setup—no plumbing required," and it lists a built-in chiller that "can maintain 37F in 120F ambient." Ice Barrel's 300 page calls it "the cold plunge tub for home use that doesn't demand a dedicated room," and it says the tub is "simple to use whether you're using ice or a chiller." The $1,149.99 price does not include a chiller. The page lists chiller ports if you add one later.
